The Friends of the Melbourne Beach Library
is an organization of concerned citizens who share the belief that the
Public Library is a valuable cultural, educational, and recreational
resource for the entire community.
Friends activities include:
- Promoting
& Publicizing Library Services
- Publishing
a newsletter to communicate progress and activities
- Raising
supplemental funds for the library through book sales, membership
dues and other fundraisers.
- Sponsoring
programs and lectures such as author visit and films.
- Sponsoring
programs and special events for families.
- Purchasing
books, equipment, furnishings and other items to enhance and
enrich library services.
